JUST IN TIME (JIT) SERVICE
- WHY?
The organization of the Supply Chain is increasingly considered to be a strategic industrial and commercial factor by the companies, it is a way to distinguish themselves and to create an added value for the clients.
Pursuing this goal and being different from what it is usually proposed by the transport companies, Bianchi Group decided to integrate its services as follows:
1) “Standard” goods flows which have a limited impact on the industrial and commercial organization of the company and can be handled with “traditional” transport solutions.
2) “Strategic” or “Critical” goods flows which require “ad hoc service” as they have a strong impact on the organization of the production (risk of stopping the production line…) and/or on the sale (damages of the company image, risk of penalty…)
- HOW?
• Analyzing the logistic organization, the industrial and commercial characteristics of the clients.
(1 client = 1 issue)
• Identifying Standard flows, proposing “traditional” transport solutions.
• Identifying Strategic/Critical flows as well as industrial/commercial risks (and the induced costs) related to an inappropriate transport management, proposing solutions with an added value, which include:
1) Perfect monitoring of Transit Time and delivery dates (not before, not after)
2) Urgency management (i.e. Service “Groupage Espresso” 24 h in France, Spain, Germany; “Groupage Espresso” 48 h in UK, Belgium, Holland)
3) Customized management of the transport times and the related information
4) Periodical control to combine the logistic requirements and the proposed solution
